One late night, while scavenging on some random blogs for inspiration for my advertising projects, I accidentally came across a beautiful story that strangely no one seemed to have heard of. Totally forgotten, buried by time and by Ceausescu’s communist regime under layers of indifference, there it was the extraordinary journey of four students, "ambassadors" of Romanian popular costume, folklore and traditions, who travelled around the world on foot for six years, crossed five continents and three oceans, through 76 countries and over 1.500 cities, wearing out 497 pairs of opinci, the Romanian traditional footwear made of pig skin. So, if you thought that around the world in 80 days was fantastic, what would you think about this six years journey around the world on foot?

Based on a true story.
